AnimeNation: They have an extensive selection of domestic release anime in many formats, along with good imports. Shipping time is also good (normal speed).

AnimeVillage.com
:
This is the place to get Escaflowne, among other great titles, and the amount of anime they're selling is growing fast!. Delivery is prompt, and much care is put into the packaging, as well.

Asylum Anime: Wonderfully prompt delivery, and good communication. I bought an Utena duellists ring here and it came MUCH faster than I thought!

CD Japan: Keep in mind that they only sell anime in raw Japanese. Once you can get over this fact, they're great! They even have an ML where they notify you of new releases as they come out.

ChibiKris' Fansubs: Got some Utena fansubs from ChibiKris. Nice, fast turnaround time, and great communication make a great distro. She also does anime trading.

Image Anime: Great selection, and some good ebay auctions as well. I've never ordered from them, though.

Japlush: Great, GREAT place to get anime UFO dolls and figurines. Customer service is great, and shipping is fast, considering that it's based in Japan.

Otaku.com: I met a couple of these guys an AX99, and they stressed that if you can get it in Japan, they can get a hold of it. I've bought from them at AX, but not over the Internet.

The Place: I've ordered a few things from them. With special orders they tend to take quite some time (8 weeks I believe) though they do warn about this. Once, I did order a manga that came about three months later. Still, I don't mind buying from them at all. They are able to get many things on special order.

Q-Unicorn: Based out of Hong Kong, they have quite a few harder to find UFO plushies and other anime dolls. Fast delivery, and very satisfactory service.

Tokyopop: Okay with communication such as order confirmations and shipping notification. Though they sell a large range of products, both domestic and imported and have to get many things on backorder, they do a good job of shipping right away. If you plan to buy a lot of things from them, get a membership, because it DOES pay well, and they often have new specials for members.

Usagi's House: I haven't bought anything from this place, but they have a very extensive selection of quality anime cels, and are known for good service.

VKLL Fansubber: A very popular fansubber, who provides near-professional-quality fansubs. They're popular for Sailor Moon but are coming out with more titles now. One of the best places to get fansubs.
